Your Rx card can be used for all members of the family – however it would be helpful to print out two cards if there are two adults.  You don’t need cards for children.   However when you first use your RX card at the pharmacy you will be asked for gender, date of birth and address of each member of the family to be covered by the RX card.

  1. What will you pay for your prescription at the local pharmacy? You can find approximately what you will pay at the local pharmacy of your choice in the zip code you choose to search. Within the search function for Medication Pricing and or Pharmacy Locator–  type in your group number and your zip code and select miles from zip code under the pharmacy search and click. Then type in the first three letters of your prescription, then select your drug and drug strength from the drop down list and type in the quantity of pills you take per month and click.

  2. Will I be able to see any Prescription alternatives to my current prescription to save additional money? YES. When you check for your prescription you will notice that your Prescription name will come up and ALTERNATIVES to your Prescription will also be available below the cost of your RX. If an alternative is available you will see what the approximate cost of that alternative will be. In the vast majority of cases this cost will be significantly lower than your current prescription. You should check with your physician to see if the lower cost prescription will work for you. NOTE: If the cost is equal to or greater than your current cost – something must be wrong.
